The total delivery time on Amazon is calculated as:
Total Delivery Time = Handling Time + Transit Time + Holidays and Weekends + Additional Buffer
Note: Handling time and transit time are calculated in business days.
Modify Your Delivery Time
Modify Handling Time
You can adjust handling time settings as follows:
- Update account-level default handling time in General Shipping Settings under Shipping Settings.
- For specific products requiring longer handling times, update handling times individually via Manage Inventory in Seller Central or use inventory file templates for bulk updates.
- If Automated Handling Time is enabled, SKU-specific handling times are automatically calculated based on historic performance data.
Modify Transit Time
Transit time settings can be customized based on your preferences:
- If Shipping Settings Automation is enabled, Amazon manages transit times using your ship-from address and carrier preferences.
- If manually defining transit times, edit shipping templates within Shipping Settings to customize transit times.

Enable Premium Shipping Options
Eligible sellers can offer Premium Shipping options, such as Same-day delivery, to provide faster shipping choices to customers.
Enable Weekend Operations
Make your listings more attractive by enabling weekend operations:
- Turn on Saturday and Sunday as operational days if you can ship products during weekends.
- When operational, weekends will be included in the calculation of the Estimated Ship Date.

Weekend Delivery
Automated shipping templates enable weekend delivery promises if the carrier supports weekend deliveries to the customer’s ZIP Code.
