Guide: Premium Shipping on Amazon Seller Central
Amazon’s Premium Shipping feature allows sellers to offer fast and reliable shipping options to customers, enhancing the overall shopping experience. By providing clear delivery expectations and tracking information, Premium Shipping can significantly improve customer satisfaction.
Eligibility Requirements for Premium Shipping
To be eligible to offer Premium Shipping options, sellers must meet the following requirements consistently over a 30-day period:
- Valid Tracking Rate: Maintain a valid tracking rate of 99% or higher for Premium Shipping orders.
- On-Time Delivery Score: Achieve an on-time delivery score of 97% or greater for Premium Shipping orders.
- Seller-Initiated Cancellation Rate: Keep the seller-initiated cancellation rate below 0.5% for Premium Shipping orders.
In addition to these performance metrics, sellers must have been actively selling on Amazon for more than 90 days to be eligible for Premium Shipping.
Premium Shipping Options
In the United States, Premium Shipping options include:
- One-Day Shipping
- Two-Day Shipping
These shipping options can be enabled and configured within your shipping settings on Amazon Seller Central.
Tracking Premium Shipping Eligibility
You can monitor your eligibility for Premium Shipping through the Premium Shipping Eligibility dashboard. Amazon evaluates your eligibility based on delivery performance metrics related to Premium Shipping orders.
Managing Premium Shipping
If you need to deactivate Premium Shipping, follow these steps:
- Access Shipping Settings from the Settings menu on Seller Central.
- Update the shipping templates to remove One-Day Delivery and Two-Day Delivery options.
- Save your changes to apply the updates.
Performance Evaluation and Order Cutoff Times
Amazon measures seller performance for Premium Shipping based on a specific evaluation period. It’s important to note:
- Performance is evaluated from day 40 to day 10, excluding Seller Fulfilled Prime orders from the evaluation.
- Order cutoff times for Premium Shipping must be set to 2:00 P.M. or later local time, with the time zone associated with the warehouse farthest east.
Revocation and Restoration of Eligibility
If a seller’s performance falls below the Premium Shipping requirements, Amazon may revoke eligibility for Premium Shipping. In such cases:
- Premium Shipping options will be disabled on the seller’s offers.
- Seller status will change to “not eligible” in the Premium Shipping Eligibility dashboard.
- Seller Fulfilled Prime offers remain unaffected by the revocation of Premium Shipping eligibility.
To restore eligibility for Premium Shipping, sellers must submit a Plan of Action detailing steps to address performance issues and improve eligibility.
